Flame of Recca News
Recent Developments in the World of Rekka

April 20, 2002: The limited edition of the final FoR manga volume (33) is now out. Waiting impatiently for my copies...

March, 2002: Ratings for Yu Yu Hakusho on Cartoon Network have been high. While the dub sounds frightening, by all reports I've read and heard, its success might bode well for an eventual Flame of Recca licensing. This would lead to a bad Flame of Recca dub, but it would also bring more money to the FoR franchise and therefore increase the odds of more, more, more!

February 6, 2002: A special limited edition of the final Flame of Recca manga volume (33) is available for pre-order. (Post note: I ordered 2 copies back then, but now the pre-order possibility no longer seems to exist. Maybe it sold out quickly?) It will be released in April, on the 16th or thereabouts.

January, 2002: The manga story came to an end in Shonen Sunday. *sniffle* Maybe we can hope for a little side special eventually?

December 20, 2001: Flame of Recca, the Sodom Chapter, was released in Japan for the Gameboy Advance. As there is no anime to cover that portion of the story, the game is based on the manga. Same character designs (yay) as the manga, too! The game is fairly simple, but a lot of fun for big fans. At least I had fun seeing how long it took for Mikagami to defeat Recca by throwing him at the ground over & over. ;) There's something amusing about having Koganei pick up Domon and throw him down, for that matter. Plus manga favourites like Raiha & Joker make appearances. So nice to see more of them in colour, since the anime gave us very little of them.
