Hiei Vs Mukuro Cels

Series: Yu Yu Hakusho

I love both Hiei and Mukuro, and I love their fight episode very dearly, so for the longest time (at least a decade) I've been meaning to assemble the fight onto one page. Finally, we have a start! There will be more to come, and I haven't even checked yet to see I have non Hiei and Mukuro cels to go with it.

Hiei and Mukuro fight around the middle of the Makai Reunification Tournament (3rd to last round, if I remember correctly), though it's near the end of what we see in the anime and manga.

Comments: I like to call this one "Hiei Vs a rock". Actually Hiei is dodging and fighting lots of rocks, projectiles, and explosions thrown in his path by Mukuro. They aren't fighting each other very seriously yet, and don't until Hiei finally nails the magic words for ticking Mukuro off. I love this episode very dearly.

Comments: Yep, that's Hiei's fist you see in Mukuro's face. I was so thrilled to find this cel! Don't get me wrong, I love Mukuro. And because of that, I don't know if I can even try to explain why I would be thrilled about seeing Hiei's fist in her face. I'll pass it off to sheer emotional love for this fight in general. And the cel's shading is so lovely!

Comments: A bit later in the fight, Mukuro is bracing up to try to fight Hiei's Kokuryuha. It bugged me so much to see him use it against her that I'm thrilled to have a cel of this moment. (Albeit not as thrilled as I am about the next cel.)

Comments: And now we have Mukuro inside the Kokuryuha's mouth, wrestling to keep the mouth open. My, what enormous fangs it has! The colour and details on Mukuro didn't scan terribly well. I did my best to fix it, but, well, I'm not a super-human like Mukuro (er, super-youkai in her case). I am but a fumbling cel scanner.
